Sure the game is reasonably fun right now but already I've gotten frustrated by the game's technical issues to the point that I can 100% forecast that I won't play this game for very long if these issues aren't fixed asap. I would like the game to succeed but things like this aren't acceptable, especially when Counter-Strike 2 is going to be using SUB-TICK updates. People jump-shotting around corners and killing me before I see them basically SMG sprays feel like shotgun blasts on the receiving end because the server tickrate is so low Dying in a milisecond to super bullets. Framerate dropping down to 60-80FPS on spawn for 3 seconds and then shooting up to 165 afterward Spawn camping (on the snow map, on the catwalk area) Bullets shooting from people's faces since the aiming animation didn't play yet on the server Yeah game still kinda feels like shit which is worrying because it felt like shit also in the closed limited alpha tests. I cannot wait to see already confirmed things such as grindable camos, prestige system, and a nuke-like killstreak! I personally hate the current COD games, and I really want a game that brings back that fun arcady spirit from years ago, with a bit of modernization. The huge amount of praise this has received in the COD community shows that there is a huge appetite for a game like this. I just want people to understand the kind of game this is, and who this is for. Of course, you are free to leave your feedback and thoughts. There will be a skill ceiling, like old CODs. I don't say this with hatred I am just trying to set the expectations for players that might think aim assist will end up making kills that easy. Giving a vast community what it wants sells instead.Ĥ) The aim assist on console will be improved more until launch, but if you are expecting current COD's aim assist that plays the game for a player, this is not the right game for ya. Unique does not sell, and it is a terrible bet to make when games cost 50-100 million dollars to make. Literally every multiplayer title you will see pop off on Twitch is derivative of another game. Apex Legends? It's the Titanfall gunplay with abilities in a BR map. ![]() ![]() VALORANT? It's Counter Strike with abilities and more RNG gunplay (yep, I said it - I have hundreds of hours on the game, not hating). The most popular multiplayer titles in this industry are not "unique" at all. I haven't had fun with a COD-like game since 2015, and guess what, having fun again feels "unique". "Unique" does not make you successful in this industry.įor once, we have a developer that is literally building a game that the fans (not the suits) want, and guess, what, that is "unique" to me. It's very unique, but there are only 1825 concurrent players as I type this. is a game that just came out, and I really like it. We need to stop as a industry to request for every new game that comes out to be "unique", because people already know what they want to play, and "unique" games often die within weeks.Įxample: Deceive Inc. We don't want SBMM that makes every casual match a ranked spectacle, we don't want rotational aim assist that literally aim for you and gets you kills like in MWII, and we want there to be a skill ceiling.ģ) No, enough with the "generic" remarks. There are enough of those, and there is no alternative to 6 on 6 COD.Ģ) Yes, it feels like old CODs because this is what many of us want, including the developers. BRs are an over-saturated, dying, boring genre for millions of gamers around the world. Stop asking every developer that makes a new game to make this a BR. Let me explain this for you:ġ) No, we don't want this to be a Battle Royale. ![]() Amazing to see such a big group (especially in the COD community) praise this game, but a few people are not getting the point of this title. Upon closer inspection, the cosmetics seem to be pulled from other popular Ubisoft titles, like Assassin's Creed and Watch Dogs, so they may join as a class, too.The overall impressions for the game have been great. Ubisoft has mentioned that more new factions will join post-launch and consist of more Tom Clancy crossovers as well as "beyond," which suggests that game may branch out into other Ubisoft series. ![]() XDefiant's main draw is that it's pulling from many of the Tom Clancy games in Ubisoft's catalog, so we can expect classes inspired by Rainbow Six, and maybe even more obscure games like Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. They have increased health and can deploy shields to help their teammates. Wolves: The Wolves from Ghost Recon are the Tanks of XDefiant.Outcasts: Also from The Division, the Outcasts act as healers.Cleaners: The Division's Cleaners are the main aggressors, and feature high damage abilities.Echelon: Pulled from Splinter Cell (remember that game?), the Echelon are Support characters that can be used to provide intel to teammates and deny intel to enemies.
